How the worlds were made

  • Original Skyblock 2.0

    Original Skyblock Marketing Art

Original Skyblock is our best-selling world, and its key art does most of the selling. The image is made in two stages: a 3D render that sets form and light, and a Photoshop pass that turns it into a poster. Drag the slider to compare them.

Behind the art

Creative disciplines

  • Concept art

Every world starts with a concept phase: moods, palettes and rough sketches that set the direction before anything is built.

  • Textures

Surface detail is where a world comes alive. Custom textures give every place its atmosphere, from cabin floors to cathedral ceilings.

  • Models

Characters, mobs, props and structures, each made to feel at home in Minecraft while pushing what its blocky style can do.

  • Renders

A finished render lets a world stand on its own as a single image, with careful lighting, depth and composition.

  • Code

Game logic, custom entities and interactive systems turn a built space into something players can play.
