Marketplace Trailer Maker

The Role

You will own the trailers and in-game marketing screenshots for our releases, from first idea to final export. Some projects arrive with a script, an outline or a clear idea. Others arrive with only the product, and we will look to you for the creative direction. We do not always have the answer, and we are looking for someone who brings ideas to the table and helps us make trailers players remember. Screenshots sit with the same person on purpose. If you are already in the world capturing a trailer, you are in the best position to capture the stills that sell it.

What you'll do

  • • Develop trailer concepts and pitch them, or work from a script or outline when we provide one.
  • • Plan shots and capture cinematic in-game footage in the worlds our builders prepare.
  • • Edit, pace and color grade each trailer to a finished, release-ready standard.
  • • Implement the music and sound effects our Sound Design department provides: placement, mixing and timing to picture.
  • • Create the motion graphics, title cards and on-screen callouts inside each trailer.
  • • Apply the Sapphire Studios brand to every trailer, including our intro and end card.
  • • Deliver final exports and organized project files.
  • Marketing screenshots
  • • Capture a full set of in-game screenshots for each release, each one showing a clear feature of the product.
  • • Frame and light every shot so it reads at small store sizes.
  • • Show the product honestly: what the player sees is what the player gets.
  • The role is focused so you can put your time into the work that matters most. Other departments supply what you build on:
  • • Scenes and sets are built by our Builds and Structures team to your shot needs.
  • • Music and sound effects are created by our Sound Design department. You implement them; you do not compose them.
  • • Key art and store panoramas belong to our key art and graphic design team.

Where the role stops

Required

  • • A portfolio that shows the best of what you can do. We want to see shipped Marketplace trailers if you have them, personal projects, and the work you are proudest of.
  • • Professional editing, compositing and color grading software, and the experience to use it well.
  • • Experience capturing cinematic in-game footage in Minecraft.
  • • Minecraft Bedrock Edition and a computer that captures clean, high-resolution footage.
  • • Strong sense of pacing, framing and storytelling in short-form video.
  • • Comfortable working in English on Discord and ClickUp, and reliable on agreed deadlines.

What sets you apart:

  • • You come up with fresh ideas constantly, and you see opportunities others miss.
  • • You bring something beyond the core role. Tell us what else you can offer, inside or outside the creative side.
  • • You enjoy working with a team and take feedback as part of making the work better.
  • • You can carry a creative idea from a blank page to a finished piece without being told every step.

Pay and Terms

  • • Workload: At least one trailer and screenshot set every one to two months, scaling with our release schedule.
  • • Pay structure: Per Trailer Fixed Costs
  • • Pay range: 100$ - 500$ (Placeholder)
  • • Payment schedule and method: Once a month on the 15th as a one time payment or milestones pre-established prior to starting project.
  • • Revisions included: Revisions included to achieve agreed upon scope.
  • • Rights and source files: Sapphire Studios owns all rights, IP, and source material through contractor arrangement.
  • • Other clients: Working with other Marketplace partners is fine, as long as it does not affect the deadlines and obligations you commit to with us.
